Bisque Firing (Cone 04)
Mid Range Firing (Cone 5 or 6)
Pricing for Bisque (^04) and Glaze (^5 or ^6) firings are priced the same
Pricing for Individual Pieces
Per piece example: Cereal bowl or cup aprox $2.50
One full shelf: $20
Pricing for Full 6.7 cubic foot kiln rental: $75
Important Notes:
All pieces should be fully dried and marked for identification.
All pieces should be dry footed (no glaze on the bottom).
Individuals are responsible for understanding their clays and glazes. Glaze runs that may stick to the kiln wash are the potter’s responsibility. Any pieces that drip, melt, explode or otherwise damage the kiln or other works will be charged a minimum of $20. Complete shelf replacement due to excessive damage will be $100 (half or whole shelf). Potter’s may bring kiln-cookies to place under their pieces or can be provided for $0.50 each.
The kiln is fired on an "as needed" basis. Each firing takes approximately 24 hours. For efficient firing, we may have to postpone a firing to allow other pieces to arrive in order to fill the kiln.
Potters will receive a text message when their firing is completed. We have limited storage space. Please pick up pieces within 15 days of firing.
